two office ladies really going at it as they fight for a rush hour taxi. their was pushing, shoving and a whole lot of screaming - crazy - but I understand. the after work taxi is a pain to get!!

we took our mandatory china medical check. pretty crazy but fairly thorough. you all wear these white robes and green booties. their are like 5 rooms and you carry around a card which gets stamped after each - blood, ekg, x-ray, etc. Kind of like going to marche for dinner but with a more raw bedside manner.

not sure if you have this in the states or Europe but many places in asia have the x-files dudes board your plane to zap your forehead with their fancy purple gun. temperature check or illegal mind-reading???

JiYoung and I say goodbye to our home for the last three years. it was an amazing place that served us and our friends well. we will miss you

in the summer of 2004 when I moved from portland to Seoul, Korea - I had a humble 12 boxes and a bag of golf clubs. Fast forward 5 years and JiYoung and I leave Tokyo with 134 boxes (including 2 sets of clubs) on our way to shanghai. truly amazing how we have become betts editors of our stuff but have managed to grow so much. wow how life changes.
